Does duct cleaning actually make a difference?
If done right, proper air duct cleaning helps remove buildup of dirt, which improves overall air quality and airflow for your AC system. This means your unit runs more efficiently.
Can I clean the ducts myself?
We do NOT recommend opening the grilles and using a shop-vac to clean the ducts yourself. Improper DIY procedures could result in contaminants being spread to the rest of the home.
How often should ducts be cleaned?
We recommend duct cleaning every 3 to 4 years. There is no need to clean your air ducts more than that (if the ducts were cleaned properly).
What if you find mold in the ducts?
We'll let you know if there is visible mold in your ducts, or within your HVAC system. We are licensed for mold remediation and can help you with this as well.
